I took part in a big action to clean up self intersecting ways in Germany/Switzerland/Austria. Two of my tasks involved summer toboggan runs where the mapper had not used bridges for loops. Actually it's easy to know that the track always runs on a bridge first and under the bridge second. But since I tried to verify the whole track I looked for images or videos. I found both on Youtube and the second (Hasenkopf Coaster in Todtnau, Black Forest) is really long - almost 4 minutes. It was fun to watch the video and follow the track on the map.

I started drawing buildings in Stuttgart, Germany. I began in Dürrlewang, where the big housing projects from the sixties make for an easy start.
The plan.at import in Austria messed up lots of things. I cleaned up some streets in Achenkirch for which I made the GPS tracks myself. Besides, I'm regularly there, so I have a fairly good knowledge of the area.
Then I corrected the B 181 Achenseestraße (and no matter what it says elsewhere, according to the offical highway law, it's not Achensee Straße) on its whole length. Should be fine now.
Felsberg is a small hammock in the Überherrn district in Saarland, Germany. I spent the weekend there and rode all (!) roads in approx. 90 minutes with a bicycle. Well, there aren't that many roads, but the height difference between Lower Felsberg and Upper Felsberg is roughly 130m (on a distance of 600 m). The basic draft should be fine, next time I'll take an OSM printout with me for the fine details.
The borders of the Patch Barracks in Stuttgart (D) were completely misaligned (obviously by accident), influencing an allotment area, a cemetary and a nearby road including a bridge. Unfortunately, you can't really see the border of the barracks, but it's way better now than before.
I spent my winter holidays in Achenkirch, Austria and took my GPS device with me when skiing (and of course when walking/driving through the village). The outline of the Christlum slopes is now entered but the many holes (rocky areas, forest, etc.) have to be cut out. Furter the slopes overlap with forests that were entered by someone else. So there's still something to do, but at least all the lifts and slopes are there.
Bloody, bloody hell.
While trying to draw a pretty long strip of beach on the east side of Barbados, I accidentally added a distracting point to the coastline. But that was harmless compared to the disaster that followed: When trying to delete the point, I deleted the whole coastline. Potlatch is now saving for about three hours and I can't undo my mistake.
Even worse, Osmarender already removed the coastline (and thus the whole landmass) from zoom levels Z12+. Now it's actually public.
I'm really stuck and clueless. I guess I keep my editor instance open all night and hope that tomorrow the saving will be finished so that I can undo the whole mess.
Bloody, bloody hell ...
I discovered this pledge to map the Caribbean today and thought that it would be a nice idea to participate until I get my own GPS logger.
Browsing through the list of islands to map, I was somehow attracted to Barbados. So I spent some hours tracing major and minor roads in the north of the island.
The biggest problem is that you can't really see what type a road really is - secondary, tertiary, residential, track, ... But the ways are there and maybe someone else can properly tag the map.
