Hi,
I found several unusual 'busway:XYZ' tags here.
The 'busway' tag can only be used to tag the presence of a dedicated lane for buses, but can't be used for bus routes operating on them. These need to be mapped using a relation of type=route, route=bus. -

Sorry, but where in particular do you see the busway tags? I don't remember using the busway tag for anything that wasn't a dedicated bus lane.

If you mean the ones on North Avenue, the dedicated busway there was installed too recently to be seen on aerial imagery. They started in November 2021: https://northavenuerising.com/dedicated-bus-lanes

I did tag the route_ref on the bus lanes to make it clear which bus route the dedicated lanes are for.

If there is a bus lane, it's fine to add busway tags. But, 'busway' only refers to the physical lane on the road, it can't be used to tag any information about the bus routes that use this lane.
In particular, these tags can't be used:
busway:from
busway:network
busway:operator
busway:route_ref
busway:toThis information must be put into a bus route relation. And in fact, it is already there: https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/7321499
Btw, "busway:operator" is most likely wrong - this tag would describe the operator and maintainer of the busway itself, which is most likely not the public transport organization.

It is operated and enforced by the state Maryland Transit Administration, not the city, this is correct. The public transport infrastructure in the city is operated by the state; if you were to drive into a bus lane, it would be the Maryland Transit Police Force's responsibility, for example. I will remove the others but it is important to clarify the operator.
I had not realized the other variations on busway were so uncommon when I tagged them.

For reference, generally speaking in Baltimore public transit = state operated; highways and roadways = city operated (we have no state operated infrastructure for cars, other than the facility where you would get a driver's license).
