Retired from urban planning and teaching science, I spend some of my time on mapping places familiar to me, or doing tai ji, or making music with friends among other things. My username is derived from a bicycle trekking event across the state of Iowa called RAGBAI, for which it is known, and has been known since the Second Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (SAGBRAI) in 1974, a time when I was living in that part of the U. S.
