I am ian, a student from Germany.

I am primarily interested in mapping in the DRC (mainly Kwilu province). This originates from my own experience trying to gather information about infrastructure in the area - which is hardly available. OSM, but also other serivces such as Google Maps, are extremely inaccurate in the area and partially rely on imported datasets that feature data which can be as old as 80 years.

In 2018, I got the chance to personally visit the area for some months, verifying and adding a lot of information for OSM.
