I encourage you to use JOSM for editing OSM data! The iD editor (browser-based) is a limited editor that does not allow, for example, importing objects from SHP/GeoJSON/other vector files or using useful plugins that make editing much easier and more efficient. You can also use mobile apps for quick POI edits (e.g. EveryDoor)
- Useful JOSM plugins:
- fastdriveway (created by NieWnen)
- movemembership (created by NieWnen)
- plbuildings (only PL) (created by NieWnen)
- gridify
- Mapillary
- measurement
- opendata
- OpeningHoursEditor
- PicLayer
- reverter
- terracer
- todo
- turnlanes-tagging
- turnrestrictions
- undelete
- utilsplugin2
